3.3. Creating Links

Inserting an Internal Link (a Page in your LibPress site)

  1. In the Visual Editor, type the text you wish to use as your link.
  2. Select this text.
  3. Click the Insert/edit link icon in the toolbar.
  4. Choose your page from the list that appears.If this list doesn’t appear, click the Or link to existing content link. You can enter keywords to search for the page you wish to link to.
  5. Click the title of the page and then click Add Link.
  6. Click Update to save your changes.

Inserting an External Link (an outside link from your site)

  1. In the Visual Editor, type the text you wish to use as your link.
  2. Select this text.
  3. Click the Insert/edit link icon in the toolbar.
  4. Cut and paste the external link from a different tab, or type the external website address into the URL box and include a title for it in the next box.
  5. Click Add Link.
  6. Tip: Also choose to have this open in a new tab – so that your patrons don’t lose access to the LibPress site.
  7. Click Update to save your changes.

Inserting an Email Address

  1. In the Visual Editor, type the text you wish to use as your link.
  2. Select this text.
  3. Click the Insert/edit link icon in the toolbar.
  4. In the URL box, enter this format of: mailto:name@mailservice.com, replacing name@mailservice.com with your intended email addressEnsure there are no spaces between the mailto and the email address.
  5. Click Add Link.
  6. Click Update to save your changes.

Edit or Remove a Link

  1. In the Visual Editor, click your cursor anywhere within the link you wish to remove.
  2. Click the Remove link icon in the toolbar.
  3. Follow instructions above to edit the link.
  4. Click Update to save your changes.
