Welcome to LibPress
Built for library users using WordPress, and hosted by the Co-op, our customized, accessible websites help libraries publish and update information both quickly and professionally. Your website is supported by the LibPress team, but the website is yours to develop!
The content is up to you, and as such must be updated by you and your staff. Take note that database and other digital resources do change, especially free resources. When your library renews its licensing of databases, make sure that your website is updated too with current access URLs.
First steps
- You will need a login for the LibPress service, that is based on your name (not that of your predecessor, nor a generic form of the staff role). Contact Co-op Support and let us know that you need access, and be sure to send us your full name and email.
- At the same time – Join the LibPress Group to find out about updates, upcoming webinars, and other news.
- Submit a Ticket to request to join.
- Once registered, access the LibPress Group here.
- As a Co-operative, we encourage you to ask questions through this group!
- Note that the questions get emailed directly out to the members of the group, and the individual members can choose to control the frequency of emails i.e. immediate, daily, or weekly digest.
- See more LibPress Resources, including the LibPress Manual that should answer most of your questions about the site.
Get Started
To do any work on your website, you need to be logged in to access the administrative Dashboard of your LibPress site.
- Go to your website address and add “login” at the end of the URL: http://maple.bc.libraries.coop/login
- Use your assigned credentials (please don’t share login information, send a request for your own).
- Once logged in, you’ll be directed to your Dashboard: the administration screen that gives you access to maintenance tools and other information about your LibPress site.
Forgot your password? Go to the login page as described above, and then click the link. You will be sent an email to reset your password.
And, read through the LibPress Manual!
